Setting up a home theatre lighting system

Bias lighting reduces eye strain

A lit wall behind the screen lowers the contrast between a bright picture and a dark room, which makes long viewing sessions easier on your eyes. It's the reason bias lighting became standard in home cinema setups long before colour sync existed.

Match the kit to your screen size

Kits cover screens from 27" to 120" across three variants — up to 65", 65 to 90", and 90 to 120". Measure the back panel edge to edge, not the diagonal, and pick the variant that runs all four sides with a little slack at the corners.

Plan for every source

If your setup runs a console, a set-top box and a streaming stick, you need enough inputs on the sync box. The AmbiMotion 2.0 and AmbiMotion 2.1 each take one HDMI input, while the AmbiMotion 2.1 Pro carries three HDMI 2.1 ports so everything stays connected without swapping cables.

App and voice control
